Just an additional little bit since I spaced and forgot to mention the prints in my earlier update!

Prints are traveling in separate packages from the books, but I'm happy to report that the prints will also be shipping in the next few days!!

Hey there, Awesome Backers!

Books are on their Way!

And  some have already arrived--we've been loving the posts of those of you who've already gotten your books!

Hundreds of packages have shipped in the last week, and the final batch of our “summer books” (Palomino Volumes 1, 2, 3, Silver Book 1 HC, and Rosalynd) is going out the door first thing tomorrow, making its way to you.

That is unless you happen to be one of the very few backers who haven't answered their survey yet. If this is you, please take a brief moment to do it, so we can send you your books asap!

For our backers here in the States, you should expect these "summer books "to arrive in your mailbox within the next few days.  International shipping, unfortunately is quite impredictible, so fingers crossed that it goes as fast as possible!

Reminder: our lone “Winter book”,  Silver Book 2 HC, is still due to ship end of October.

 Digital books in your inbox!

The links to the digital versions of the books have been sent today by our friends at Backerkit.  If you are not seeing that email, first check your spam, as it might be in there.

What to do if your book doesn't show up?

If you're a domestic backer and you don't received your books by end of next week, we recommend looking into the following before contacting us--at the very least, it will jumpstart the conversation (this is campaign #6, so we've learned this the hard way):

•  Make sure you gave Backerkit the correct shipping address.  After you've completed the survey, you should have received a shipping address confirmation email from Backerkit (which might be in your spam folder).

Sometimes USPS tracks some packages  as "delivered" and yet they cannot be found, so they  are assumed lost or stolen. However, in most cases, they are actually close by:

• Packages may not fit in regular mailboxes, so they may have been left in front of a door, in the lobby. Maybe the building manager has it, etc...
• You'd be surprised how often a roommate or a spouse have received the package, stashed it somewhere and, because we're all busy,  forgot all about it.  So before you assume it was stolen on your door steps, ask people in your household like, 2 or 3 times, until they go "Ohhhhhh, you mean a package!" (Seriously, this is 90% of all "missing packages" cases. )
• Similarly, the package may have been dropped in front of your friendly neighbor's apartment, and they've picked it up to keep safe for you, but haven't gotten around to bringing it over.  Also, surprisingly common.

Shipping update (and more)!

Hi all!

We are doing awesome on the surveys, with 80% of the responses already in! The "summer books" (Palomino 1,2,3, Silver Bk1, Rosalynd) books are all signed, placed in bags/shrink wrapped, and ready for imminent shipping! A reminder: Silver Bk2, will ship separately end of October.

About drawing...

Through the various interviews and social media conversations that happened through the campaign,  one question always comes up: Do I approach drawing for animation storyboards and for comics differently. The short, unhelpful answer is yes and no. But while I will elaborate at a later date,  here's a fun video I did a few years back about my approach to drawing storyboards.

So the rumors are true. The process of sending the surveys out to you has begun! If possible, fill them out as soon as you can, so we have the info needed to send you your books and prints quickly!

If you don't receive your survey today or tomorrow, check your spam filter, and if you encounter any issue filling out the survey, please let us know!

So this is the perfect time for me to not only thank you all for reading Palomino, but to also stress a very important point! In this day and age of giant corporate consolidation, the most powerful way for you to help platform indy books that you love and believe in is to also get copies as gift for your friends and love ones whom you know would enjoy them! That is the most awesome way to help platform. So if this is for you, check out those add-ons at survey time! And also, that's how you win Christmas!

BackerKit surveys are coming!

Soon, you’ll receive an email from us with a special link to your BackerKit survey. It’s important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since we need this information to fulfill your rewards.

Here are also some important early heads up! 

 General info

You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. You don’t have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email!

After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys and get our final counts.

If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://stephan-francks-palomino-volumes-2-and-3.backerkit.com.

If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey is sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account. Here's an early jump on 2 important survey FAQs

• If you ordered physical copies of any of the Palomino volumes and/or Rosalynd, you will also be receiving complimentary digital copies of your books.  In fact, the first question on your survey will be about your digital copies, asking if you want the 1-page up versions (best for reading on phones or small tablets) or 2-page up versions (best for larger tablet and computers). Don't let that question about the digital copies throw you--you will also be receiving the physical copies.
•  SALES TAX: backers from California will be asked to pay a sales tax on books and prints at survey time. It should have been applied back at pledge time, but unfortunately, it hasn't. Apologies for the inconvenience.
